Day by Day Itinerary
Day 1: Doard the train in the evening
Board the train in the evening to Lhasa. The Tibet Railway offers a stunning alpine scenery full of snow caped mountains, lakes, vast plateau plains littered with nomads, yaks, Tibetan antelope and many other wild life elements. Tibet Railway is the world’s highest Railway. The 1,956 kilometers rail line expands a vast highland area with an average altitude of 4,300 meters above sea level, the highest being 5,068 meters.Stay overnight in the train.
Day 2: Qinghai-Tibet Plateau Sightseeing by train
Today the train will move on Qinghai Tibet Plateau, You will pass by Yuzhufeng, which is the main peak of Kunlun Mountain, World Natural Heritage Kekexili Naturel Preserve, Tuotuo River-the resource of Yangtze River, Naqu Grassland and Cuona Lake.

Day 3: Arrive in Lhasa in the morning.
When you arrive in Lhasa in the morning, your guide will greet you and take you to your hotel. Tourists may view the Yarlung Tsangpo River/ Bhamaputra river (the Longest and largest river in Tibet) and Lhasa river on their way to Lhasa.
After arriving in Lhasa, you can take a rest and get acclimatized to high altitude. If you feel to go out, then you can go to the Potala Square, where you will enjoy the fountain with different colors and get amazing photos of the Potala and around.
Insider Tips:
For the new-comers of Tibet, to get acclimatized to the high altitude in Tibet. Having a good sleep in your hotel is a good option. Don not rush to visit attractions inside Lhasa city.

Day 4: Lhasa City, Potala Place and Barkhor Street (B).
The tour will begin from UNESCO World Heritage site - Potala Palace, which is also the winter palace of Dalai Lama. It's situated at 12,139 feet above sea level. It's a 13-story high building that contains over 1,000 rooms, various statues, stupas, murals and artifacts.
Then continue to Jokhang Temple, another UNESCO World Heritage site. It’s a spiritual center for Buddhists in Tibet. Next to the temple there is Bakhor Street, filled with pilgrims and street vendors, selling traditional Tibetan items such as prayer wheels and jewelry.

Day 5: Lhasa-Ganden Monastery-Lhasa
In the morning,drive to Ganden Monastery, one of the 'great three' Gelukpa university monasteries in Tibet. It is also one of the earliest and largest Buddhist monasteries in this area, and stands the top six famous temples of Gelugpa - a branch of Tibetan Buddhism.Then tourists are going to visit Drepung monastery which was one of the “three greet” Gelug monasteries of Tibet and was founded in 1416. Ganden palace is used as Dalai Lama’s palace in the Drepung before moving to the Potala palace.
Afternoon, Sera Monastery---It was one of the “three great” Gelug monasteries of Tibet and was founded in 1419. The highlight is the Monks debate at around 3 - 5 in the afternoon.

Day 6:Lhasa – Gyantse - Shigatse (B)
Drive from Lhasa to Gyantse. Admire the Gampala pass (4790 m) on the way, and get a glimpse of Yamdrok-tso (4400m), which is surrounded by many snow-capped mountains. Then continue to drive west towards Gyantse. In Gyantse, tourists will visit the famous Pelkor Monastery and Gyantse Kumbum. After one and a half hour's drive, clients will arrive in Shigatse, which is the second largest city in Tibet.
Stay overnight in Shigatse.
Day 7: Everest Base Camp (B)
Drive to Lhatse where tourists can take lunch. Then drive to Shegar and if the weather is clear enough, tourists can view the Mt. Everest in the distance on the way back down. After 4 to 6 hours, arrive at Rongbuk monastery, but on the way there, clients will pass Pang la Pass, one of the highest passes in Tibet at 5050m. From that pass, enjoy view all of the five highest peaks in the world.
Stay overnight in local tent guesthouse or Rongbuk guesthouse.
Day 8: Everest Base Camp Return to Shigatse
In the morning, you can see the sunrise of Everest Peak if weather permits at the lodging area. Then we will visit the Rongbu Monastery - the unique highest monastery with nuns and monks living together. Finally, we will drive back to Shigatse.
Stay overnight in Shigatse.
Day 9: Shigatse - Lhasa (B)
Today, explore Tashilunpo monastery of Gelug Sect, the seat of the Panchen Lama, built in 1447. The monastery houses a giant statue of the Maitreya Buddha - the biggest gilded statue of Maitreya (Buddha of the future) in the world and a tomb of all the Panchen Lama, containing jewels and gold. In the afternoon, you will drive back to Lhasa, which will take around 6 hours.

Day 10: Lhasa - Namtso Lake- Lhasa (480km, 9 hours ) (B)
In the morning, drive from Lhasa to Lake Namtso. On the way, clients can see Nyenchen Thanglha( snow mountain ranges )and lots of nomads tent with grazing yak and sheep densely-populated around the mountain side. Namtso Lake is the Heavenly Lake which is one of the four holy lakes of Tibet and also the highest salt lake. You can do a very relaxing trekking around the lake side and Tashi Island.In the afternoon, tourists may enjoy Yangpachen hot spring (Optional) and have both indoor and outdoor swimming pool filled with hot springs water. Finally, head back to Lhasa.

Day 11:Lhasa - Draksum Tso- Bayi(500km,8 hours ) (B)
Drive along the National Highway No. 318 from Lhasa to Bayi Town (Nyingchi) by following Nyang River, a tributary of Yarlung Tsangpo River. On the way, we will drive to visit Basomtso Lake, which is surrounded by the old-growth forest. The jade lake Basumtso is also called as Cuogao Lake in Tibetan, meaning the turquoise water. It’s also the holy lake of Nyingma Section (Red hat religion of Tibetan Buddhism). A sacred Nyingma temple sited in a small island in the central lake for the pilgrims to worship to the Buddha, There is a famous son-sending cave, which said had received blessing from Padma Sambhava, people come here to pray to the Buddha for a child.

Day 12:Lhasa - Draksum Tso- Bayi(500km,8 hours ) (B)
Today, firstly we will drive to Sekyim la Pass (4720m) and enjoy the great Mt. Namjia Bawa (7,700m) in the distance. Then, continue to drive to the bushy Lunang Forest with an elevation of 3700m, and it is a typical highland meadow strip, and both sides of Castle Peak from low to high from the dense bushes, spruce trees and pine. The distant clouds, the snow-capped mountains, the endless pines and the quiet pastoral displayed a beautiful landscape. Then,we are going to Lulang International Tourist Town. Lulang International Tourist Town is scheduled to be open to public on March 28, 2017. Aiming to dig deeper into Lulang culture, food, hotel and natural landscape, the sponsor will organize 12 characteristic activities for tourists to attend, like Lulang food festival, photography exhibition, gala party, firework show, horse racing competition, etc.
In the afternoon, You will pay a visit to the Cuomujiri Lake – a moraine lake, which is located in the northwest of Bayi Town. In Tibetan language it means the Tear of a Bodhisattva. With many legends related to Bodhisattva the lake is regarded respectfully as the holy place in the Gongbu area.
Stay overnight in Bayi.
Day 13: Depart from Nyingchi (B).
Transfer clients to the airport or train station.
