Head to Nanchuan Jinfo Mountain, a national 5A – level scenic area, boasting three wonders: karst landforms, ancient plants, and Buddhist culture. As you climb up, there are three ancient and huge underground river caves at the top. Looking down, it seems like an otherworldly place, exuding a mysterious atmosphere. When you reach the mountaintop, you can enjoy the cloud and mist scenery. The layers of mountains loom indistinctly, resembling a flowing ink – wash painting. If you’re lucky, when the sunlight shines on the cliff, thousands of rays of glow will be reflected.

Visit Wulong Tiankeng, a masterpiece of nature’s ingenuity. Stepping into it, you’ll be greeted by magnificent geological wonders and unique rare plants, endowing this place with a mysterious charm reminiscent of an alien planet. Then head to Fairy Mountain, where the vast alpine grassland is breathtakingly beautiful, and the Fairy Stone on the cliff is elegant and charming, truly captivating. In winter, Fairy Mountain is enveloped in white snow, resembling a fairy – tale world.

Head to Furong Cave, a World Natural Heritage site. As a typical karst landform, it has a great deal of stalactite – like sediments inside. The river water is as clear as jade, and you can see the bottom. The gorges on both banks are steep and majestic. The diverse vegetation adds a unique charm to this place.

Go to Aiyi River in Pengshui. Wind through the steep and winding paths in Qinglong Valley. Explore Qinglong Cave, where you can see rare karst landforms, as if entering an underground castle. Visit Niujiao Village to experience the unique Miao ethnic culture. Finally, either try river rafting or take the outdoor sightseeing elevator to have a panoramic view of the beautiful Aiyi River.

Take a boat trip through the Wujiang Gallery. On both banks, the gorges rise abruptly, towering into the clouds, making people marvel at the wonder of nature. Waterfalls in the gorges cascade down with a magnificent momentum, like ten thousand horses galloping. Various ancient buildings are constructed along the mountains and beside the water, showing their unique cultural charm to the world.

Head to Hong’an Border Town. As a place where Chongqing, Guizhou, and Hunan provinces meet, it offers pleasant scenery and rich culture. There are not only natural wonders like “Elephant Trunk Sucking Water” but also a wide variety of folk activities of different ethnic groups, making visitors reluctant to leave.

After returning to the urban area, you can choose to rest at the hotel or explore downtown Chongqing. The towering and imposing Liberation Monument is a symbol of Chongqing’s civilization. The riverside Hongya Cave is vibrant and breathtakingly beautiful. The landmark Chaotianmen Square features beautiful scenery and represents the Yangtze River culture.

Visit Dazu Rock Carvings, one of the eight major grottoes in the world. Dating back to the Yonghui period of the Tang Dynasty, there are nearly ten thousand Buddha statues in the grottoes. Each statue has a distinct style and is incredibly vivid. With its grand scale, exquisite carvings, and rich connotations, Dazu Rock Carvings are a unique treasure in the field of rock – carving culture.
