Mount Sanqingshan National Park: A Taoist Sanctuary of Granite Peaks and Misty Wonderland
Mount Sanqingshan National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site (inscribed in 2008) and a world-renowned geopark, nestled in the northeast of Jiangxi Province, eastern China. As the highest peak of the Huaiyu Mountains, its main peak Yujing Peak rises 1,817 meters above sea level. The mountain is named after the Three Pure Ones (Sanqing) in Taoism, as its three majestic summits—Yujing, Yuhua, and Yuxu—resemble the three Taoist deities seated side by side atop the clouds.
