Basic Overview

Travel tips

Best travel time: November‑March for snow‑viewing and skiing; September‑October for beautiful autumn forest foliage. Snow‑town is crowded in winter holiday season, book hotel in advance. Winter mountain area is bitterly cold; wear fully‑layered warm clothing. Some scenic spots have long driving distance between each other, chartering local car is recommended.
