Yining

Basic Overview

Yining is the core city of Ili in northern Xinjiang. The vast Ili river valley owns fertile land, massive grasslands, lavender fields and multi‑ethnic folk customs including Uyghur, Kazakh and Xibe people. It is known as “Jiangnan of Xinjiang” for its lush green scenery.
