After breakfast, we set off from Chengdu to Huanglongxi Ancient Town, one of the top ten ancient towns in China, to enjoy the charm of the cultural ancient town in western Sichuan. After lunch, we took a bus to Leshan. Around 2 p.m., we visited the Leshan Giant Buddha. After dinner, we paid 150-180 yuan on our own to participate in the “Sichuan Opera Facial Transformation Performance” which is rich in Sichuan characteristics. This performance features a large-scale dance and acrobatic show with the unique facial transformation act.

After breakfast, we set off for Mount Emei. We took a sightseeing bus (the cost is 90 yuan per person, and it is mandatory to pay) to the Le Dongping Parking Area. Golden Summit Take the cable car [Round trip price: 120 yuan per person (self-paid), cable car insurance: 10 yuan per person (self-paid)] to reach the main peak of Mount Emei – Golden Summit (at an altitude of 3077 meters). At the highest viewing platform, enjoy the natural wonders such as the sea of clouds, Buddha’s light [depending on the weather conditions], as well as the Golden, Silver and Copper Temples, and Tenfold Bodhisattva. In the world’s largest worship center, make wishes and pray for blessings. Golden Summit is the place with the most temples and scenic spots in Mount Emei. It is 26 meters high and has a total area of 1,614 square meters. There are two buildings: Golden Summit and the Golden, Silver and Copper Temples.
After lunch, we will visit the semi-mountainous area.
Wan Year Temple After breakfast, take the cable car [Peak season: 65 yuan per person for the upward trip, 5 yuan per person for the cable car insurance] to visit the first major temple in Mount Emei – Wan Year Temple [Ticket: 10 yuan per person for self-payment]. This temple is the largest, most magnificent and oldest main temple of Mount Emei. Visit the brick hall without beams and the treasure of Mount Emei – the 62-ton Shakyamuni riding the six-toothed white elephant, passing through the White Dragon Cave, arriving at Qing Yin Pavilion. The most beautiful scenery of Mount Emei, listening to the poetic water sound of “Double Bridge Clear Sound”. As well as the one-line canyon, a masterpiece created by nature, and entering the largest natural ecological monkey area in China through the Black River Staircase to play with the monkeys of Mount Emei. Arrive in Chengdu at around 8 p.m. by car.

We set off from Chengdu at around 08:00 in the morning. During the journey, we visited the earthquake site in Yingxiu and the ancient city of Songfan. Then we continued to head for Jiuzhaigou. Along the way, we could experience the ancient Qiang ethnic customs of “blue sky and snow-capped mountains as the scenery, and watchtowers and green mountains as the platforms”. The ancient Qiang culture is concentratedly displayed and passed down here.

After breakfast, we drove to the entrance of Jiuzhaigou Valley. Then we took a sightseeing bus (try to sit on the same side as the driver, as the scenic spots in the first valley are all on the driver’s side) to visit the main attraction of the entire trip – Jiuzhaigou World-Class Scenic Reserve. The landscape of Jiuzhaigou is mainly distributed in the three main valleys – Shuzheng Valley, Rizhe Valley, and Zechava Valley. These three valleys are somewhat like an “L” shape. There are three of the largest and most magnificent waterfalls in Jiuzhaigou – Zhuhua Trough Waterfall, Nuojiang Waterfall, and Pandanhai Waterfall. There are also over one hundred high-altitude lakes and dozens of varying heights flowing waterfalls and other scenic spots in the scenic area. The most beautiful and unique thing about Jiuzhaigou is its water, which is clear and transparent, and changes endlessly. This day’s tour time can last up to 8 hours, allowing tourists to fully explore.

(1. The altitude at the entrance of Jiuzhaigou is approximately 1900 meters. The highest point within the canyon， Changhai， has an altitude of 3100 meters. Most tourists do not experience altitude sickness， so feel free to enjoy your visit.

06:00 Have breakfast or have a hotel-packed breakfast early. 07:00 Departure for the Huanglong Scenic Area. The spectacular surface calcium carbonate flow in the scenic area winds through the primeval forest, resembling a golden dragon soaring through the sky, hence it is named “Huanglong”. There are thousands of calcium carbonate pools of various shapes in Huanglong Gorge, with a flowing length of 2,500 meters. This calcium carbonate flow is the largest in the world and is known as “Heavenly Fairy Pool”. 09:30 Enter the scenic area. Walk or take the cable car (80 yuan per person for the upward journey, 40 yuan per person for the downward journey, the cost is self-assumed). Tour the Shenshi Cave, Jinshapudian, Pianjing Pool, Huanglong Cave, Huanglong Temple, Stone Tower Zhenhai, Five-Colored Pool, and Turning Flower Jade Pool. Please choose the appropriate route during the tour. The general tour duration is about 3 hours. This itinerary aims to highlight the essence of a pure tour, and the tour time has been extended to 4 hours. 12:30 Have lunch in Huanglong. After lunch, take a bus to Maoxian or Wenchuan.

Take a tour by shuttle bus to “Shuangqiao Gou” (70 yuan per person for the shuttle bus). You can visit Yin-Yang Valley, Five-Colored Mountain, Sun Moon Mirror, Ginseng Fruit Plain, Sandberry Forest Stairway, Tan Yu Ba, Hunter Peak, Cowshed, Cowheart Mountain, Abi Mountain, and Wild Man Peak, etc. The Shuangqiao Gou scenic area is spacious and flat, with concentrated attractions. The entire route is accessible. The scenery in the gorge is mainly mountain views. Within the 216 square kilometers of the gorge, dozens of mountains with an altitude of over 5,000 meters are distributed in sequence, along with mountain streams. It all forms a gradually unfolding landscape painting. There are also rare thousand-year-old original sandberry forests and flat, wide alpine meadows in the gorge. In summer, various flowers are scattered among them, emitting a pleasant fragrance for several miles. Walking among them feels like being in a fairyland.
Watch the “Sgu-la” gala performance in the VIP section of the Sichang Mountain by Cong Zhong’er Ga at night. It costs 268 yuan per person. Enjoy the yak meat hot pot while watching the show.

After breakfast, we took a bus to the Wolong Giant Panda Base. After lunch, we went to Dujiangyan. In the afternoon, we visited the Dujiangyan Scenic Area and then returned to Chengdu for rest.

After breakfast, you can have free time. Based on the departure time, go to the railway station/airport to take a vehicle and leave Sichuan. Return home and end your pleasant trip in Sichuan.
