Day-1 Arrive in Urumqi
Welcome to Urumqi, the geographical center of Asia. We will arrange pickup services according to your flight information and help you with the check-in procedures. You can choose to take a rest in the hotel or go to visit the urban area of Urumqi on your own. Wish you a pleasant holiday.
Day-2 Urumqi – Tianshan Mountains
Take a bus tour to enjoy the breathtaking scenery of Tianchi Lake in the Tianshan Mountains, a high-mountain lake. Get close to the Tianshan Mountains and experience their mysterious grandeur. Gaze at the Bogda Peak from the highest point. Take the cableway on Mayashan Mountain and overlook the magnificent views of the Tianshan Mountains. Return to the urban area and visit the Xinjiang International Grand Bazaar to appreciate the unique architectural styles.
Day-3 Urumqi – Turpan
Visit Turpan, fulfill the dream inspired by “Journey to the West” and retrace the path of Xuanzang to experience the vibrant enthusiasm of the Flaming Mountains. Tour the Karez, the largest underground water conservancy project in ancient China, and appreciate the unique ingenuity of ancient craftsmen. Head to the Grape Valley, taste the fresh grape feast and experience the warm hospitality of the Uyghur people.
Day-4 Turpan – Shanshan
Head to the Kumtag Desert, which is a mobile desert with numerous sand mountains, sand dunes and so on. It has spectacular and diverse landscapes that are truly captivating. As far as the eye can see, there is no end in sight, full of mysterious charm. Visit the Tuyugou Valley which is rich in mysterious and religious hues. The scattered loess buildings are dotted in the canyon, and the ancient ethnic customs shine brightly here.
Day-5 Turpan – Korla
Stroll around the Jiaohe Ancient City, where the winding paths wind through the loess building complex, permeated with a unique and mysterious atmosphere. Arrive in Korla and take a walk along the Kongque River, quietly experiencing a different kind of worldly charm.
Day-6 Korla – Kuqa
Visit the world’s oldest and largest poplar forest reserve, which has the famous saying that “It can live for three thousand years, stand for another three thousand years after death, and remain intact for yet another three thousand years after falling”. Walk around in it and feel the vigorous vitality of life.
Day-7 One-day tour in Kuqa
Visit the Mysterious Grand Canyon of Tianshan Mountains and experience the uncanny workmanship of nature. Tour the Kuqa Royal Palace, where all kinds of unique buildings and cultural relics seem to be slowly telling the stories of history. Head to the Old Street of Kuqa, where a wide variety of delicious foods and artworks are bound to dazzle you.
Day-8 Kuqa – Alar
Visit the time-honored Kizil Thousand-Buddha Caves, the oldest grottoes in Xinjiang. Strolling among them, one can be deeply touched by the flickering of incense candles and the benevolence of the Buddha statues. Head to the Wensu Grand Canyon, where the grotesque peaks and rocks and overlapping mountains will surely make you reluctant to leave.
Day-9 Alar – Hotan
Visit the unique silk handicrafts in Jiye Township, and experience the ingenuity of craftsmen and the charm of traditional silk craftsmanship. Head to the Yotkan Ancient City to appreciate the distinctive architecture and ethnic customs.
Day-10 Hotan – Shache – Kashgar
Visit the Hotan Museum and see how the cultural relics tell the story of the local historical changes. Head to the Shache Intangible Cultural Heritage Park. Various palatial-style buildings combined with traditional buildings have formed the unique local architectural style. Sometimes, you can also watch various performances there. Day-11 One-day tour in the urban area of Kashgar
Visit the Kashgar Old City, which has a history and culture spanning hundreds of years. The streets crisscross each other, and both sides are filled with various shops with unique ethnic customs, offering a wide array of goods. Head to the Id Kah Mosque, where the strong religious atmosphere brings peace and tranquility to people’s hearts. Arrive at the century-old teahouse to drink tea and take a rest, and experience the unique local cultural customs.
Day-12 Kashgar – Tashkurgan County
Visit the Baisha Lake Scenic Area, where the rolling desert connects with the green trees and red leaves by the lake, and the sparkling lake water reflects the blue sky, forming a wonderful picture. Head to the Karakul Lake to experience the extreme collision of mountains and flowing water.
Day-13 Around Tashkurgan County
Traverse the Panlong Ancient Road, where the constantly changing scenery is dazzling. Head to the Bandier Blue Lake, a lake formed by glacial meltwater, shining with its unique blue color, like a mirror of the sky. Visit the Wahan Corridor, one of the ancient Silk Roads, and experience the unique blend of Chinese civilization and Indian civilization.
Day-14 Tashkurgan County – Kashgar
Visit the Fragrant Concubine Garden, a national key cultural relic. Here, you can gain an in-depth understanding of the love story of the Fragrant Concubine, experience the unique local regional customs up close, and personally experience the folk customs and traditions of the Uyghur ethnic group.
Day-15 Kashgar – Return trip
