Itinerary Day by Day

Tibet（10 Days）

Day 1 : Arrival in Lhasa

Arrive at Lhasa Gonggar Airport or Railway Station. Our guide greets you with a traditional white Hada. Transfer to a 4-star hotel to rest and acclimatize to 3,650m altitude. No intense exercise; keep warm and avoid showering the first night.

Day 2 : Lhasa City Tour

After breakfast, visit Potala Palace (UNESCO World Heritage). Take photos at Chagpori Hill (50-Yuan note viewpoint). Afternoon visit Jokhang Temple and stroll Barkhor Street with pilgrims to experience Tibetan culture.

Day 3 : Lhasa → Mila Tunnel → Basum Tso → Nyingchi

Drive through Mila Mountain Tunnel to Basum Tso (5A scenic area). Known as “Little Switzerland”, it combines snow mountains, forests, lakes, and ancient temples. Continue to Nyingchi and check into hotel.

Day 4 : Nyingchi → Sejila → Lulang → Pasture → Giant Cypress

Cross Sejila Pass (view of Namcha Barwa weather permitting). Visit Lulang Forest (endless virgin forest), Alpine Pasture, and Giant Cypress King Park (3,200-year-old tree). Return to Nyingchi.

Day 5 : Nyingchi → Kading Gorge → Lhas

Visit Kading Gorge — lush forest, 200m waterfall with natural Buddha shape. Drive back to Lhasa via Lhasa-Nyingchi Expressway.

Day 6 : Lhasa → Yamdrok Lake → Karola Glacier → Palcho Monastery → Shigatse

Drive to Yamdrok Lake (one of Tibet’s three holy lakes). Visit Karola Glacier and historic Palcho Monastery in Gyantse. Arrive in Shigatse in the evening.

Day 7 : Shigatse → Gyatso La Pass → Everest Base Camp

Cross Gyatso La Pass to Everest National Park, transfer to eco-bus to Everest Base Camp to face the world’s highest peak. Visit Rongbuk Monastery — the highest temple in the world. Overnight at Everest tent/homestay.

Day 8 : Everest Base Camp → Gyawu La Pass → Shigatse

Depart Everest, cross Gyawu La Pass — the only place to view five 8,000m peaks (Everest, Lhotse, Makalu, Cho Oyu, Shishapangma). Return to Shigatse.

Day 9 : Everest Base Camp → Gyawu La Pass → Shigatse

Visit Tashilhunpo Monastery (seat of Panchen Lama). Return to Lhasa. Evening enjoy Princess Wencheng live show (winter alternative: traditional Tibetan bath).

Day 10 : Departure from Lhasa

Breakfast at hotel. Private transfer to airport/train station. Your unforgettable 10-day Tibet epic journey ends perfectly.
