Itinerary Day by Day

Tibet（9 Days）

Day 1 : Arrival in Lhasa

Arrive in Lhasa (Sunlight City). Our guide greets you at the airport/train station with a traditional white Hada. Transfer to a 4-star hotel to rest and acclimatize to 3,650m altitude. No intense exercise; keep warm and avoid showering the first night.

Day 2 : Lhasa City Tour

After breakfast, visit Potala Palace (UNESCO World Heritage). Take photos at Chagpori Hill (50-Yuan note viewpoint). Afternoon visit Jokhang Temple and stroll Barkhor Street with pilgrims to experience Tibetan culture.

Day 3 : Lhasa → Mila Tunnel → Basum Tso → Nyingchi

Drive through Mila Mountain Tunnel to Basum Tso (5A scenic area). Known as “Little Switzerland”, it combines snow mountains, forests, lakes, and ancient temples. Continue to Nyingchi and check into hotel.

Day 4 : Lhasa → Mila Tunnel → Basum Tso → Nyingchi

Cross Sejila Pass (view of Namcha Barwa weather permitting). Visit Lulang Forest (endless virgin forest). Then drive to Galang Lake—quiet lake surrounded by mountains and villages. Arrive in Bomi.

Day 5 : Bomi → Ranwu Lake → Laigu Glacier → Bomi

Visit Ranwu Lake—the largest lake in eastern Tibet with turquoise water. Then explore Laigu Glacier—China’s most beautiful maritime glacier with spectacular blue ice. Return to Bomi.

Day 6 : Bomi → Guxiang Lake → Zhatang Lucuo → Pasture → Nyingchi

Drive past Guxiang Lake. Easy light hike to Zhatang Lucuo and Alpine Pasture—gentle trail with stunning views of grasslands, yaks, and mountains. Return to Nyingchi.

Day 7 : Nyingchi → Kading Gorge → Lhasa

Visit Kading Gorge—lush forest, 200m waterfall with natural Buddha shape. Drive back to Lhasa via Lhasa-Nyingchi Expressway.

Day 8 : Lhasa → Yamdrok Lake → Karola Glacier → Lhasa + Show

Drive to Yamdrok Lake (one of Tibet’s three holy lakes). Visit Karola Glacier. Evening enjoy Princess Wencheng live show (winter alternative: traditional Tibetan bath).

Day 9 : Departure from Lhasa

Breakfast at hotel. Private transfer to airport/train station. Your wonderful 9-day Tibet glacier tour ends perfectly.
